I need to know where to put the jacks stands on my R33, I have tried doing a search and found some info but no pics and I am not 100% sure where to put them and dont want to cause damage to the car. If any body has pictures or can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated

are you planning on jacking up the whole car or just one side/end? the proper places are under the door sill just behind the front wheels and just in front of the rear wheels. there is usually 2 small notches in the sill. otherwise you can put them under parts of the suspension points or even the cross member under the engine.

Whatever you do, don't jack it in the centre, under the sump lol.

I haven't jacked my skyline yet, but on the VL, we always jacked it just under where the springs are for the front, but I can't remember the back...something makes me think the diff, but then again I'm thinking that would have had adverse effects just like using the sump.

vl's had a standard diff (no IRS) so you could jack them off the diff if you did it near the suspension mounts. but you can also jack the car (either skyline or vl) from the actual diff housing as they are rather solid, however it isn't the best as the car can still tip to one side so jacking or placing jack stands as close to the outside of the car is the most stable and safest way to do it.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
