hi folks,

after some of our guys only getting 2 runs on friday and the cressida not making it due to a log book issue, we have decided to bite the bullet and have a private test day on the 15th of november.

we have spots open so PM me if you are interested. the track hire cost $6600 so that works out at $550 a car for the 12 spots.

basically the first people to get in contact and pay for their spot are in. if you pull out its your responsibility to find some one else to take your place and get your $550 back.

gates open to competitors at 8am, then scrutieneering, racing form 10 am till 4 pm with no breaks. thats 6 hours of track time for 12 cars, $550 might seem like a lot but think about how many times you will have to tow to the track to get that much track time, it will cost far more.

    • Hopefully you can just unbolt them, thank them for their service, then bin them and not replace them Apparently the sensors like to set them off with only minor impacts at low speed It looks like they do a delete kit for some of these, but, it is costly
    • I hope it's actually possible. This is a write off in insurance world.
    • Yup. 2-way with shallow ramp angles. Still works.
    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
