I'll tell you what. I just moved to Brissy and bought my R33 a week ago. I have already been pulled over once (claiming my exhaust sounded too loud) and flagged down by RBT's twice. In one week! Are they cop magnets here or is it just due to the holidays? My last car was a Mazda 3 MPS, had it for 2 years and didn't get pulled over once!

not trying to take over the thread - but on the topic of popo, i found this thread on ns

cop crashed my car

like a mate of mine, he was sent to prison and his car got impounded

he got out and got his car and it had an extra 15k on it and a lot of tyre wear for brand new tyres put on only a week before he got it impounded

and when he asked about it, they said it had been sitting there the whole time and not used

I have had no issues with my r32, and it's pretty "drift spec". daily driver, gets me to work and back each day, plus sports every mon, tues, wed and thurs night, plus gym.

i don't go to known "hoon hangouts" and drive sensibly.

all i have had is a bunch of rbt's. been pretty civil and have had no hassles

    • If there's enough meat in the housing where you want to put the M12 adapter, then do it, but be aware that if/when you f**k that up you'll probably be repairing it before doing anything else. I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
