Overdrive Problems

hey everyone

recently ive noticed that when my car is in DRIVE the overdrive light on the dash flashes on and off, and the feel of the car to me

seems like overdrive is kicking in and out.EVEN with the overdrive button OFF.

now this only occirs whilst the car is drive (flashing light problem)

could this be a wiring/electrical problem or am i in the hunt for a new auto trans?

any help would be appreciated.

car isnt running sluggish at all, still has the same acceleration, just frustrating when u want to drive and overdrive turns itself on and off

have you checked the oil in it ? the light flashes to indicate a problem . like the engine lightfor the engine. sounds like it needs a rebuild
