I've got a gun-metal grey R33 GTS-t sedan which I reckon looks fantastic.

The only part of its appearance that could be improved is the rear.

So, I'm wanting to make mine look like the one in the attachment.

please PM me if you can help.

Cheers :P

do you have a photo of the top of the wing cause i think i might have one

Sorry, I only have the photo in the attachment.

I think it's just the standard R33 sedan rear wing (with the built-in brake light).

Hope you can help.

Silly question, but where’s the attached pic??

Bugger!!!!!

For the life of me I can't work out how the get this pic to attach!

Each time I try to attach it it tells me I've already attached it to this thread. :bs!:

Oh well, I'll keep trying.

No, sorry it's not.

For a start, my car is a 4-door, and the wing I wanted was raised above the boor, mounted on 2 supports.

Nothing huge or attention-catching, just a nice understated boot-lid spoiler in the same colour as the car (gun-metal grey in my case) with a long thin brake light set into it.

PS: If anyone can tell me how to succesfully add an attachment, I'd be grateful.

Well I don’t know if you notice by your comment, but the pic I put up was a four door.

The spoiler your looking for is the factory r33 sedan one which I can get for you ex Japan.

Does you car have the factory brake light mounted in the boot also ?

Hi Gaffa & apologies for not noticing that the pic you posted was a 4-door.

Unfortunately my brain was running on about 1 1/2 cylinders yesterday & my cranial turbo was malfunctioning badly... :D

Still, it's all better now!

To answer your question: yes, my car does have the brake light mounted in the bootlid, though I'm not sure whether it works.

Can you give me an idea of how much a genuine spoiler would cost (second hand) from Japan, and also if you know what is involved in installing it.

Finally, do you know if those dark tail-light surounds are available too?

Thanks for your help.

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
