VSPEC: written in the newsletter is NOS=YES, SLICKS=NO as the only restrictions.  where'd you make that up?

I didn't make it up, I spoke to the guys running the dyno, there the ones setting the rules not the newsletter:p

And how exactly were they measuring boost in the V8's, I didn't see them hook up a boost line, did you?

Jap cars rock, V8's suck:p

i had the same thoughts as to how they were going to measure boost, and was confused as to the conflicting info. the info on nos was supplied to me in the entrant info pack, and then a different thing was displayed upon registering the cars.

not my mistake, ask the dyno guys why it kept changing

love the objective approach tho keep it up.

indeed you are. I see little of the bs that comes in this industry from you Steve and its commendable. Did i mention i need to recover my head from you cos after that some will claim its stuck up your butt :P

As for Ant, he is Ant - need I say more ?

Simon farts alot but he is cool too so its all good down there. Just get rid of that girl who talks way too much .........

i didnt enter a v8 so no excuses guys, just a bit surprised at the rather poor attitude taken towards other performance cars. dont want to start a shit fight but there were cars making twice that power years ago at the summernationals. not to take anything away from the gtr's awesome performance tho, or any of the other cars there

    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
