Agreed, Macedon Summer run would be wicked. Some of those little back roads on the way to Yea were pretty awesome although somewhat tight is some sections. The weather was pretty average but that made it a little more challenging, I've never really been too keen to take the GTR out to the twisty's in the wet so it was good to see where it starts to break free. I def need new front tyres, those Jap made Bridgy Adrenalines are SHITE!! one of the worst tyres I have ever had in the wet. The Kuhmo's on the back held all day no matter how hard I stamped on the GO pedal :)

Thanks Dan for putting together such a great cruise! Had an awesome time. Unfortunatly I had to turn back after we got to Yea but had fun nonetheless. Finally had a chance to take the XR through some twisties and it was great! Thanks Al for keeping me company all day too :)

Looking forward to the next one!

Dave, good work.

How much lower than before?

You may need to bin these side skirts and rear bar for factory aero.

Off to the garage to see what else I may have break :)

Had a great day driving, was a little too wet for a real beating through those twisties though. I wish I had of known about that Bakery with great pies as those chips and nuggets were not the greatest from the place I went to. I need new tires on my fronts as under steer was ridiculously sketchy through those decent corners I almost went off the road and no 4WD didn't help either.

Thanks to Dan for organizing the day I had a ball.

Mt Buller sounds good

spewing i missed it, but estactic about what i got instead...

I picked up my car from MiColour and omfg he is an absolute Wizzard!

His workmanship is unbelievable, and the rear bar is better than ever!

I'll hopefully see you all next weekend.

oh, and any pics??

What did you break on the cruise?

Good question actually...

I'm baffled but will re check the clamps (have checked them 4 times already!) then check the piping, hope I get it sorted before Saturday so I can drive up to Shepparton - failing that, borrow my mum's mighty Corolla.

pics fellas!

I took my DSLR but took no pics after the meet up. It was way to wet to be taking the camera out

I do have video but at 150MB per 10mins, it's a bit big to upload anywhere. Plus it's incar footage so usually just the back of the cars in front of me ;)

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
    • What do they look like right after you've tried to start it with everything connected? Also post photos of what they actually look like.
