3 Questions On Rim Clearance

car R33 GTS-T

Currently have about 10- 12 mm between my front rim and the UCA with 17 x 8.5 + 35

I'm planning on a set of 18 x 9.5 + 30 which in theory should be about 3 - 5 mm clearance.

Does this gap open and close whilst the vehicle is traveling or is it fixed ?

Does this also limit my camber ?

Am I going too tight here?

I dont think so. I had about that gap, then dumped it on its arse, and it doesn't touch at all. And I'm talking tucking rubber.
