Cas / Timing Re-accuring Problem

my r32 gtr has an issue with tune ...

i rebuilt it last year .. pistons oil pump re-co head and turbos . stock ecu

issue is when i time the car with new cas sensor it runs very well , 230+atws ... but 1 week later , it detunes itself and runs sluggish. alot more noticable above 3000rpm. engine doesnt miss hesitage , engine lacks intake and turbo noises and a heap of power above 4000rpm. . . . why do i have to keep playing with the CAS sensor .. car drives fine though ....

i put 2mm washer on timing case, followed by CAS sensor, spring washer and 2mm washer

wiring issue? should i find another ecu?

are you sure its the CAS that is at fault?

do you have el cheapo cam gears installed?

I've had a car do the same thing, replaced countless CAS's over a couple of years. It ended up being a bent CAS mounting bracket that wasn't holding the CAS straight and it would stuff them in no time. it also seemed to be alot worse when it was cold. hope that helps.

stock cam gears, timing is spot on .. just cleaned the CAS sensor up again and im flying ...for now

got rid off my timing case and had a look at my cas braket. the two dals on CAS bracket are good. left the timing case off , only using the rubber seal that sits around as a washer/spacer ....... under my CAS sensor bolted to the blacket

its been one week and car runs well now to put the timing case back

Problem is still there, just alittle better .. trying to get original bolts n washers for as

mounting bracket for CAS sensor looks ok ... alloy .. car drives fine but lacks the nuts .. evident at revs and pull ..
