Hey guys had my Infiniti for just under 2 years now and have put about 25000kms on it. The car is due for rego in August but will be renewing it anyways.

Here are the specs on the car

1993 (September) Nissan Infiniti Q45 this is a aussie delivered car not an import.

VH45DE 4.5L all alloy quad cam V8 automatic RWD with LSD

4 Door sedan

Cruise control

Memory electric front seats

Leather interior (front seats leather is torn in parts and steering wheel is worn rest is good)

Factory 6 speaker stereo with factory amps

Sunroof

Mods that I have added

30% window tint all around done by TKO

Rays Peyton Place Spinners 18" wheels with new new tyres (these wheels arnt actually "spinners" so dont worry)

Pioneer AVHP4050DVD double din touch screen DVD player with Ipod connectivity

New JDM front grille

"crystal" front headlight and corner light set

Twin exit stainless diff back exhaust with upswept tips

Service history while I have owned it

Car has performed exceptionally well during my ownership when I first bought it it needed some work done which was done by Garage101 (Imports101)

The initial service included the following

Replace rocker cover gaskets on both banks

All fluids replaced (Coolant, Engine Oil and Oil filter, Brake fluid, Diff, Auto trans with new gasket and filter)

Platinum spark plugs

Inlet manifold gaskets replaced

Genuine Air Filter

Ryco Fuel Filter

AFM Clean

Thermostat

All Drive Belts

After that was done the car was serviced every 5000kms with Motul 4100 15W50 engine oil and K&N oil filter and used a Engine Oil Flush product. Fuel and Air filter have been replaced once since the major service in August 2008. Car has just had its 345 000km oil and filter service.

Items I have replaced during ownership

As with any car of this age and with as many kms a few things do wear out I have had a brand new battery fitted (May 2010) second hand AFM (April 2010)

Brand new radiator (March 2010) Nolathane adjustable front upper control arm bushes (late 2009) I also have some adjustable nolathane front radius/castor rod bushes to be fitted but there is no urgency for those.

All drive belt bearings and new alternator belt (June 2010)

The car is for sale in a as is condition it is running fine and registered there are a few marks on the body but no hail damage. One rim has a very minor gutter rash noticeable on close inspection. As mentioned the car has just gone over 345 000 kms but runs like a dream I have only ever run it on 98 octance and does not use any oil or any other fluids.

The car has a Alpine sub and amp fitted but these will not be included in the sale but will leave the wiring for the next owner.

I am selling this car because I now have a work vehicle and can not justify having a daily driver (infiniti) track car (180) and a work car in the driveway!

I am after $8000 bearing in mind in 1993 these were selling for about 120K aussie new!

I have quite a few spares that will also be included in the sale. The only item I am willing to remove to adjust the price are the wheels.

For any genuine interest in this vehicle please PM me and we can discuss it further.

    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
    • It's needed for rolling idle up, and I think it is a decider on VCT also.
    • I mean, not really. Link ECU's can absolutely still have errors from the ECU thinking it's getting a sensor it's not expecting. I would imagine the speed at the ECU level in Nistune does absolutely nothing anyway? I assume the ECU does not do any fancy TC stuff with regards to front+rear wheel speed or anything of that like anyway. Someone who uses Nistune may be more fluent in it.
