Rac Driving Centre, Double Skid Pan,

Heys all,

Just putting it out there, i've got a 4 spots open for an ARVO double skid pan session at RAC's Driving Centre at Perth International Airport.

Starts at 12.30, so you'd be required to be there by 12.15pm the latest. Finishes approx 4.30, but you may leave when you like.

Cost is $110, non refundable unless you can find someone to take your spot.

Payment would be required as soon as possible to confirm your spot.

Would like payment, no later than 14th aug please

for noobies:

* You will need long sleeve shirt or jacket, long pants and covered in shoes

and socks.

* No loose items to be in cars, tyre pressures to be 4-5psi higher than

standard

* Helmets must meet the following accreditation-

SNELL SA2000, SA2005, SFI 31.2A (US); and

AS/NZS 1698:2006 (AS/NZS 1698)

Its got nothing associated with SAU or SAUWA.

I dont know what was ran a month ago, but this is the double skid pan. not the track at rac driving centre.

Track is layed out using cones, and you drive around them.

yah, sounds like what happened a month ago. that was basically just a thrash session didnt learn much /shrugs

the instructors pretty much leave it up to you as to how much you want to learn.

anyway i may be interested, depending on when my new tyres arrive... not going to be much good out there running on the wires.

yeh i went to one a month or so ago, was my first time and the instructor hopped in the 1st time, told me how to handle the wheel properly, and how to turn in better. then the other 10 or so runs after was on my own. not bothered or anything, you pretty much get the feel of things and just try different methods of taking off, approaching/exiting corners etc, keeping the car poised.

every cent of the $80 was worth it though.
