The owner, Bruce Roberts, has over 25 years' experience in both the automotive industry and in sheetmetal/fabrication work. As such, Cosmos is able to offer everything from routine servicing through to major structural changes, like custom crossmembers, chassis work etc, and all the stuff in between, including engine rebuilds, gearbox changes and diffs.

Bruce currently works on a steady flow of buses from a client who purchases them overseas, then gives them to Cosmos to perform the chassis/braking system modifications required for engineer approval. He is yet to have his work declined - in fact, the engineer was so impressed that he has referred some of his clients through to Bruce.

Bruce has done plenty of work on my own R33, including the recent fitment of my new turbo He'll also be getting the job of making up my intercooler piping, cold air box, catch can etc. Gary1 from these forums has sent his BMW and Camryghini in for work, as well as his previous 4WD, and from all accounts is more than happy with the work.

They currently have two project cars on the premises - a 13B turbo Mazda RX4 which is intended to compete in Targa, and a VH Commodore SL/E, which will be getting a force-fed Toyota 1UZFE quad cam V8.

The deal

As an incentive for club members, Cosmos will offer discounted labour rates. I'm yet to find anyone who can match even their full-price rate, so rest assured that you WILL be looked after.

You'll need to show proof of club membership, so until the club has been made official, you'll need to either turn up in your Skyline, or just mention this post on Skylines Australia. Once the club has been registered, your Membership card will take over
