I'm looking into doin a RB26 build, and am looking at some garrett GT turbos, has anyone done any twin GT conversions, I am looking at something comparable to the TD06/20g twins.

I've been told the GT35 with a 0.63 housing will spool up quicker than a GT30 with the same exhaust side, due to being a newer design, does this sound right???? I would have thought the GT30 would still spin up quicker.

Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

fyi,

both the GT30 & the GT35 are of the 'new GT design' and share the same compressor wheel, where the GT35 has a larger turbine wheel.

given this, the GT30 would spool quicker the the GT35 if the same size turbine housing was used.

btw, how much power are u after?

the reason i ask is that two GT35's (rated at~600hp each with .63 housing) on a RB26 would be pretty laggy for normal street use, but then again, it all depends on what u want & need.
