Dutton Rally 2004.

Entries for the 2004 Dutton Vic Rally opened this week and I thought I post up something incase there's any other people interested in doing something a little different this year.

For those that don't know the Dutton Rally is a 3 day event (held 6-8 August) involving 24 stages/courses at Shepparton Airport/DECA/Winton Raceway/Heathcote Raceway/Avalon Airport. The events range in everything from track sprints, skidpan work, 1/4 mile and 1000m flying start airstrip runs (see November 03 Motor mag for the GTR that hit 306km/hr on this run!)

This event is pretty much open to everyone that has a car and is over 14yo. Only the basic track day reuirements are needed - so no roll cages, racing suits or harnesses. There are a number of guys from NSW entering the Dutton NSW this year and a few of them competed last year. They have an extensive thread going in the NSW section. Skylines were made for this stuff! :burnout:

One of the other great concepts of this event is the co-driver option. Basically 2 people get to have a go in the one car. This means you can split the costs and have some extra fun if you have a mate you trust to let drive your car! :Paranoid:

Nice, its the same price as the NSW event too, $2200 for 2 drivers.
