Hi guys,

Got a bit of an issue with the electronics in my car at the moment. Installed a wasted spark setup in my S3 RB25DET R33 Sedan last night, and all was fine for the first 20-30 minutes, and then suddenly I went to go through a green right hand signal, and the car just died, clean lost all power and stalled. Car cranks, but won't fire.

I've also lost all dash lights, so no Airbag, HICAS, Handbrake light etc. Traced the issue back to as far as the fuses in the cabin, as all the fuses under the bonnet are receiving power. There's about 7 fuses in the cabin which aren't receiving power at all. Even with the fuses out, neither side of the terminals is receiving power. The fuses that are effected are these:

10A TURN SIGNAL

10A METERS

10A ELECTRICS

10A SHIFT LOCK

10A A/T CONTROL

10A AIR CONDITIONER

10A ENGINE CONTROL

10A AIR BAG

There may be a couple more which aren't receiving power, but I forgot to write them down before I left where the car is stuck at.

Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? I'm stumped at the moment, only theories I have is those fuses have a power feed of their own, which has been disrupted, or the ECU :s.

Cheers.

Solved.

It was the immobilizer that was connected to my IGN ON due to the alarm having a turbo timer built in.

Anyone think the wasted spark couldve caused this immobilizer to fail, or just purely coincidence?

I have been having the same problem, I changed the spark plugs as spec and car lost almost all electronics, same as yours, and now i've testing shit for over a week now and have come down to the immobiliser which i really don't want to remove. any chance you know the brand of immobiliser that was in yours?
