It's time to part with my old pride and joy, was hoping to do something with her before the Registration ran out but I've been too busy enjoying the Nissan Stagea.

Car is available for sighting most weekends, sms or give me a call and I will confirm availability. Car is currently in Blacktown, will advise address when confirming via phone.

I need to provide a ballpark figure but please, I'm open to offers as I need to get this car off the front lawn :P

Asking Price: $1000 ONO (as above, please come and check the car out and make a reasonable offer) - I will not part this car, ONLY to be sold as whole.

Rego: As mentioned in the topic the car was due for registration in February, due to lack of finances it never happened and now the car will require a blue slip. Note that the plates will not be on the car upon collection.

Distance Travelled: Estimated at around 280,000km's, the guage stopped working a while ago but may be repairable. It hasn't been looked at yet.

Fuel: This car is dual fuel (LPG/Petrol), the LPG system has a small leak in the engine bay due to a back fire, requires a new gasket/sealant and the LPG will be running fine.

Airbox: Is damaged due to above mentioned back fire, blew the plastic brackets off.

Rust: 4 area's that I'm aware of, a small bit on the strut tower in the engine bay, inside drivers door jam, outside of drivers door (underneath where the plastic strip was), left hand upper inside of bootlid (right near the back of the boot).

Brakes: Back pads are due for replacement, not sure on the condition of the rotors.

Exhaust: Everything ok except for several small holes in the rear muffler.

Tyres: Due for replacement, currently running 215x17

Suspension: Lowered springs & heavy duty shocks

Security: Fitted with an imobilizer/alarm (central locking works on all doors except the rear passenger side, I think the cable has become disconnected from the locking mechanism)

I will add to this thread when I get further time, I'm sure there are things I have forgotten to add. If you have any queries though feel free to ask your questions in the thread and I will answer.

For weekend viewing contact Stephen on 0438 242 573.

Forgot to mention it has an RB30, which all of you probably knew anyway.

It also has some hail damage, major dents which should be a lot easier to get out as apposed to the mess little hail leaves behind. Remember that huge hail storm that hit Blacktown 2 or so years ago.. it was like the holocaust.

I would have taken more pictures this weekend but unfortunately I was busy taking pictures of my written off M35 Stagea instead.

Cheers

This could be the last addition to the thread, the poor girl will probably go to the wrecker's this weekend or next weekend.

So if anyone is interested in having a look at the car, please sms as soon as possible, or send a PM on here.

Car has now sadly been towed away, if anyone wants anything off it, it has gone to pick 'n payless Blacktown.

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
