I don't see why it wouldn't be real? Why are you doubting it?

I have the same one but in polished aluminium.

Lol coz everywhere else they are like $ 200 plus I don't think anything greddy would be that cheap. If they made this u would think they would have them in there products list on greddy website. Never seen them in colours b4 on seen the 1 you got which I'm after. Also asked to see the packaging but no go, and the hosing is diffrent too???

Hmmm I suppose. I thought maybe they just made black ones now (I bought mine ages ago) and that they were cheaper than the polished ones. Either way even if it aint genuine it's pretty cheap and at the end of the day it is just a catch can, not much can be "wrong" with it.

it's exactly the same as the polished "ebay" one i bought a coupla years ago (actual quality was fine), except it appears the supplied hose is of even worse quality?! :)

I never actually fitted mine up, as both CAMS and AASA require a 2 litre catch can, not the approx 1 litre of these.

Edit: I should add I got that catch can from autobarn for $50-$70 I got my own hoses for it hence the extra.

so your are saying get the bigger greddy 1 the double 1?

what you mean?

any catch can is good if it has 2 chambers, because in theory the rocker cover inlet is going to pump dirty air into the can, and if there is only a main chamber with no wall separating the inlet and outlet, the dirty air is just going to be sucked strait into the other hole outlet, and the dirty air stays dirty when it goes back into your intake, if there are 2 chambers, the dirty air from the rocker covers will hit the 1st chamber wall and the oil and muck will stick to it and the air will then continue to flow into the second chamber and continue its cycle.

but, there is a way around this if you only have one chamber (and its what i personally have set up) and thats packing steel wool into your catch can, not the fine wool, the large strand steel wool, the steel wool acts like the chamber wall and the oil will stick to the steel wool letting the cleaner air continue through it. if you use the finer steel wool then particles of steel may continue into your engine (i forget the names of both the wool)

use this stuff

not this stuff

yea its just a universal item that everyone brands to make it look bettera, but it dosent matter, a catch can is a catch can is a catch can, regardless of who has their brand on it, it does the exact same thing as the last one.

    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
    • Yeah Jap import. Fairlady Z then! I'm a bit the same.  They've been on my radar for a fair while but then just impulsively decided to buy one!  Was going to just buy an NA and add turbos to it later but decided to save the f'ing around and just buy the turbo version.
    • Thanks mate, well done to you too! Yeah not looking forward to doing any major work to it!
