Lol, I'll take you for another spin once I have it retuned with the new ECU and EBC. Going for around 340-350rwkw.

We backed off at 5800rpm during the last tune with 17psi and made 297rwkw. This time around with the new ECU, Ray's gonna bring it up to 6400rpm with a bit more boost. Will keep you posted dude and e-mail you the updated dyno sheet in a few weeks.

  • 1 month later...

Car is currently not for sale. The RB30/25DET is coming out and everything will be returned back to stock including the original RB20DET and gearbox. I will be selling the car now as a near-factory standard vehicle. I will also be stripping all of the modified components off and selling them all individually.

Will update this thread with the complete list and pricing of the aftermarket parts shortly (as well as the revised price for the standard vehicle once it's converted back to stock). PM me if anybody has any questions.

More details are posted on my blog (link in my signature).

OK, here's the list of parts and pricing. Not gonna bother converting the car back to standard anymore as it'll just take up too much time.

Haven't started stripping the car as yet as i've currently got no spare time until towards the end of the year when i take my annual leave. But PM me if you're interested in something and once i start removing parts off the car, i can put it aside for you.

Everything on the car apart from exhaust/gearbox/suspension etc has travelled between 5000-8000kms.

Obviously stripping the entire thing and selling parts separately will take longer but is going to be the most profitable.

However, i'm willing to part with the entire car as is with rego until May 2011 minus Work rims/Power FC and AVC-R for around the 10k mark. Throw me an offer if you're keen and want to negotiate.

If the car is not sold as a whole by the around start/mid of next month then i will start stripping everything and all individual parts will be available to purchase by the beginning of next year.

The car is located in Geelong but i can drop off parts locally and around the inner Melbourne areas as i frequently travel between Melbourne and Geelong on a weekly basis. Interstate buyers - i'll need to calculate shipping fees according to what part/item you want shipped.

I will also be changing the plates back to the standard issue plates next week.

I'm after CASH ONLY. No swaps as i want to put all the money towards a CPV35 350GT.

Price drop - 9k as is with rego until mid-next year minus Rims/Power FC and AVCR.

Selling at a loss because i cannot be bothered with it anymore and need the money for a V35 i've got my eyes on. So this car needs to go.

I'll also be converting my plates back to standard issue plates this friday.

Bottom end should still be ok according to my mechanic as the oil pump failure occured during when the car was idling for around 30 seconds a little while after the brand new clutch was installed. A new oil pump with new oil pump drive collar (proengines.com.au?) is all that's needed to have it back up and running.

EDIT - Also forgot to mention that a new RB25DET gearbox has only just been installed and has so far travelled around 50kms.

Edited by GT32

Standard plates are now on the car.

PRICE DROP - 8K minus rims/Power FC and AVCR. 100% firm on price!

If it doesn't sell by the middle of next month then I'll proceed to strip everything off it. Prices for individual parts are above.

whats it make at the wheels?? cheers

All these details are in my first post from when the car was still running.

Run-in tune made 297rwkw@5800rpm/17.5psi. Didn't get to do the final tune...

Got any interior pics? And what have you done to the car since you said you were stripping it? Interested in the car with the Works rims and Power FC and AVCR, please advise on current price with these items if thats possible. Thanks.

G'day mate.

Don't have any interior pics as yet but i can organise that for you soon as i'm free most of this coming weekend.

I haven't done anything to the car ever since we confirmed 100% that the oil pump was the issue. I just had it towed back to my house and haven't touched it ever since.

I'd rather sell the car as a whole instead of stripping it because ideally, i'd like to see the new owner finish off what i've started. In the 5 years that i've owned and modified it, the car is pretty much 90% complete to exactly how i wanted the build to be. I wanted to create a 500hp daily streeter (roughly ~330rwkw) with a tough engine combo and JDM appeal.

The only things left that i still wanted to do were hks camshafts, oil cooler, pmu slotted rotors, nismo 1.5-way diff, oem carbon fibre bonnet and oem carbon fibre boot from seibon carbon. Plus, obviously a re-tune with the new Power FC and bring it up to around 330rwkw.

In regards to your question, i'm not willing to move very much on those 3 extra items. But if you're interested then it'll be 8k for the car with everything else, plus $2500 for Work rims/tyres, $1400 for the FC and $600 for the AVCR. So my offer for the entire thing will be $12,500.

PM me if you want to talk further.

Car still available for sale guys. Make me an offer. Don't make me strip it! lol

Nah, I'd prefer to sell the car with everything on it. But I'll still continue with the original plan of stripping and selling individual parts to make more $$$ if it doesn't go by the end of this month.

I'm interested in the car as a whole. Is there any problems with it

The car isn't running atm hence the cheaper price tag. Scroll up to some of the above posts and there will be information regarding the failed oil pump.

I'm replying to your PM's now. Sorry mate, I haven't been online for a few days. We'll chat in there.

Will grab the turbo if you end up sep.

No worries. Will keep you posted. If it ends up getting stripped, I'll put aside the turbo for you.

    • Also, I logged some data from the ECU for each session (mostly oil pressures and various temps, but also speed, revs etc, can't believe I forgot accelerator position). The Ecutek data loads nicely to datazap, I got good data from sessions 2, 3 and 4: https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-2?log=0&data=7 https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-3?log=0&data=6 https://datazap.me/u/duncanhandleyhgeconsultingcomau/250813-wakefield-session-4?log=0&data=6 Each session is cut into 3 files but loaded together, you can change between them in the top left. As the test sessions are mostly about the car, not me, I basically start by checking the oil pressure (good, or at least consistent all day). These have an electrically controlled oil pump which targets 25psi(!) at low load and 50 at high. I'm running a much thicker oil than recommended by nissan (they said 0w20, I'm running 10w40) so its a little higher. The main thing is that it doesn't drop too far, eg in the long left hand fish hook, or under brakes so I know I'm not getting oil surge. Good start. Then Oil and Coolant temp, plus intercooler and intake temps, like this: Keeping in mind ambient was about 5o at session 2, I'd say the oil temp is good. The coolant temp as OK but a big worry for hot days (it was getting to 110 back in Feb when it was 35o) so I need to keep addressing that. The water to air intercooler is working totally backwards where we get 5o air in the intake, squish/warm it in the turbos (unknown temp) then run it through the intercoolers which are say 65o max in this case, then the result is 20o air into the engine......the day was too atypical to draw a conclusion on that I think, in the united states of freedom they do a lot of upsizing the intercooler and heat exchanger cores to get those temps down but they were OK this time. The other interesting (but not concerning) part for me was the turbo speed vs boost graph: I circled an example from the main straight. With the tune boost peaks at around 18psi but it deliberately drops to about 14psi at redline because the turbos are tiny - they choke at high revs and just create more heat than power if you run them hard all the way. But you can also see the turbo speed at the same time; it raises from about 180,000rpm to 210,000rpm which the boost falls....imagine the turbine speed if they held 18psi to redline. The wastegates are electrically controlled so there is a heap of logic about boost target, actual boost, delta etc etc but it all seems to work well
    • hahah when youtube subscribers are faster than my updates here. Yes some vid from the day is up, here:  Note that as with all track day videos it is boring watching after the bloopers at the start.  The off was a genuine surprise to me, I've literally done a thousand laps around the place and I've never had instability there; basically it rolled into oversteer, slipped, gripped and spat me out. On the way off I mowed down one of the instructor's cones and it sat there all day looking at me with accusing cone eyes as I drove past. 1:13:20 was my fastest lap, and it was in the second session, 3rd lap.  It (or me!) got slower throughout the day as it got hotter.
    • It sounds like you want what the Toyota Landcruisers have for their roof racks. Wanna know what you end up with? Rust holes in the roof, and water everywhere...
    • Discovered today that if I select reverse first and take my foot off the brake, then select drive, the drive indicator light works and so does the tiptronic gear indicator.
    • Ok so after much research and talking with knowledgeable people I've got my turbo conversion done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.  Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd. But nothing drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic.  I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Does anyone here have any ideas?   Cheers guys
