Was an awsome day even tho it felt like it was 35 deg in the shade :D

Would encourage everyone to come along next year, there was only 1 C10, 1 C110 sedan, (looked good and was packin a turbo L6 ) my lonely old C210 and a hand full of various R30's.

Here's a couple of mine from this album---> All Datsun Day 2010

Harvooo your Coupe de green machine is looking way to fine. That colour has come up a treat and those mags do it much justice, are they a 70's cheviot wheel. They remindinded me of a mates 307 chev powered escort back home in Nu Zuland.

What have you ended up with under the bonnet your so keen to show off?

Love your work Dan

That coupe is awesome.

Is that the original green they came out with?

I had a sedan in that colour and really loved it.

Got a great pic of my daughter polishing the front bumper when she was 3....time flys.. she's a 28yo school teacher now

Had a pale yellow coupe too ,got it when less than 12 months old (both manuals)

Wife just reminded me we had a black auto sedan too (wish i'd kept them)

Thanks mate, it's nice to have some photo's that aren't taken off of my phone. The wheels are oz made cheviots and they'll do for know I suppose.....

As for the engine there's nothing under there worth showing off just an old fella reminiscing "about the good old days"

current engine set up (minus the Holly/charger, standard carb still on there)

Thank you too mate, colour is not original but similar. Pretty happy with how it has turned out still needs a lot of work and it dosent help when your mates have got 400+ rwhp Dattos :(

that color is freakin awesome mate! stands out!

is that a drop-tank i see?

It dose look good all polished up and out in the sun, and thats a "imitation drop tank" just a cover for the shitty looking spare wheel well.

WHat front bumper is that?

normal one painted white?

It's just a standard issue bumper with shitty chrome and the rubber strip taken off (hence the holes along the front)

ps: I'm still chasing the trims off the front of the bonnet/guards if anyone knows of any? can only try :D

cheers Dan

I've been looking for a C110 for a while with no luck.

Maybe I should consider one of these as they're a bit easier to find and a lot less prone to rust.

RB25DET with triple webbers fitted would be cool

Hey Chris, I don't happen to have your old coupe do I. Mine was a yellow one once. It came with the big workshop manual and it had been traded in by some people from down my way, Rockingham or Port Kennedy erea. Maybe you had it before them. Do you remember the plate number?

I took the DR out for a few hours in the morning but it looks like I missed that photographer. There are a few of mine on japannostalgiccar.

It was a good day albeit bloody hot in the tar carpark. I had to take the kids to a birthday in the afternoon so unfortunately couldnt stay longer.

Loved your C210 Harvo, kept telling my kids I used to have one just like it in orange, everyone used to call it Jaffa. Except for the ever encroaching rust it was a great car. Sold it for $1500.00!

cool ride, good to see somemore old school datsun out there.......do you have anymore pics of the event, last event I went to was the skyline nationals, no c210 there......

Hey thanks mate,

I didn't take any photos myself but there's plenty from the day on the other datto forums (ozdat+datnet) you own the black c110 yeah? The real nice one with the rb?

  • 2 weeks later...
yeah, thats my coupe, did alright at the event......

That was the stand out car of the show in Adelaide and it should have been awarded that. Not just my opinion, but most of who I spoke to thought it deserved Car of the Show, no matter what everyone else has said since.

I was branded a trouble maker for suggesting such an outcome.

It sure is a treasure!

Cheers, D

    • Hello, sorry for being late to join the discussion, but my clock just died on me.   Ive tried to look at Michaels digital clock repair.docx and it doesnt work maybe the file has expired.   Please let me know if you can re upload it or take some youtube videos to show us how to get the clock installed? thanks
    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
