Hey guys!

I'm new to this site and i'm also a proud new SKYLINE owner so basically i have a few questions about this site!

1. i still have no idea how to post this thing! i stumbled across it by mistake. so can someone post me how to write this!

2. I own a R33 gtst and i've only got a grand atm to spend on the car. I pretty much no shit all about turbo's but i'm slowly learning and figuring things out. A mate suggested to me that i get a front mound and intercooler to help with the performance and also allow me to boost up my psi.

Does anyone have any suggestions that i mite be able to do to the car instead of this cause i dont have the money for the set up my mate suggested. I'm a little in debt cause i only recently bought the car!

3. Do u guys go on cruises? i've already been on the toyota crusies and also the holden cruises but seeing i now own a skyline i'd really rather be going on a skyline cruise!

4. Sorry about all this i'm not good wit computrers!

Thanks

ADAM CAMLZ

Hi Adam,

I'm fairly new myslef but one thing I have learnt is that a lot of guys seem to install a good exhaust as one of there first mods. Eg I had a turbo to tip 3 inch system with twin dump pipes off the turbo installed for $1100. Assuming u have a totally stock car this is a good place to start. Oh and a K&N hi flo panel filter also to help it breath. I have got both plus an el cheapo bleed valve @11 psi and have noticed a dif. Boosts quicker and harder than stock. THe K&N costs bout $100 and bleed about $150 fitted.

From there u may progress to front mount intercooler (fmic) or some say ECU (eg. Powerfc).

(Now wearing anti newbie mod advice flamesuit) :flamed:

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
