Just wondering who is running an r33 thermostat in their r34's?

My mate works at supercheap and on the shelf are r33 thermostats but r34 ones must be ordered in

i looked through the tridon book and the only difference i can see is the opening temp being 72 (r33) instead of 76 ( think)

all the other dimensions seem the same

Shelf price is $41 for the r33 unit, book price is $46 for the r34 + freight

If he buys it for me we will get 25% off too so will be about $31

Hay or Nay?

as long as it will actually fit in then there is no problem. i'm not sure on whether there is a physical difference in them though. the cooler opening temp may play around a little bit with the ecu though (very minor difference) so you may see a slight increase in fuel economy (if you do it will be barely noticable).
