Hi Mick

Look forward to having you on board for the Putty Rd Cruise up to Singleton on 23/1/11 10am

It starts off at the RAAF Visitors Carpark Percival St Clarendon. Meet us there.

Hehe...

Seems like my schedule is a bit tighter than yours > pick my new car in a fortnight Mick.

Execs will be wearing SAU Pit shirts; so introduce yourself eh? Or we'll find you!

Cheers, Terry

I like the look of your car Michael BTW.

Should be proud of that.

Have you driven Putty Rd before? The last 20km are very impressive.

B/Blue R34 GT-R V-Spec II. It has bronze LMGT4 rims, but I'm swapping them to keep my gold ADVAN RG 1 wheels.

It never went to auction. Buying it off a lady who now doesn't want her 'personal import'.

Should be complied soon.

So if you see an old dude standing next to that, it's me :D

cheers Terry, i hope no-one who sees me driving around in it thinks i'm trying to pass it off as a GT-R

sure i'd kill for a GT-R but current funds won't allow for it, but i just prefer the look of the front bar and bonnet, BTW they are genuine GT-R items not aftermarket

R34's are my favourite i nearly bought a non turbo one for my second car while i was still on my P's got my lic very late in life

but didn't get approved for the finance lucky cause i ended up finding that Silvia which had a massivly worked engine i picked it up for just under $5k

nah never been there i don't venture out of my neck of the woods very often, i looked at it on google maps this arvo, the starting point is only 30kms from my houe which is good

i'll look out for you

don't blame ya, the R32 GTR front end looks so much better  as long as you're not sporting R badges on the back you should be right. Personally to me it's your car do what you want to it :)

Thanks dude

nah no R badge here I laugh at people who have stuck them on what clearly is a GTS it's just wrong.

When my car has one on it it will be cause it's actually a GTR... One day

    • The incentives are mostly the same, yes. Ethanol is cheap compared to the cost of doing 98-100 RON with crude oil alone. 87 to 93-94 AKI all with E10. In 2020 Canada mandated E10 as a part of their "renewable fuel standard" and is supposedly going to go to E15 in 2030. In California where there are only 8 refineries with two threatening to shut down next year it's been over 20 years now of E10 and 91 AKI maximum because there's just not enough refinery capacity or crude oil supply relative to the demand for premium unleaded fuel. And CARB's low carbon fuel standard means functionally none of the diesel available at the pump is made from crude oil anymore. It's almost all entirely 20% biodiesel blended with 80% renewable diesel (hydrotreated vegetable oil) now. The number of gasoline vehicles that support E15 or higher ethanol concentrations is surprisingly low, I can't imagine it being wise to play tricks like this without flex fuel sensors in most of the fleet.
    • It's almost certainly the same as the one next to it. • South Australia, which is hardly as far behind as the rest pf Oz makes out, and who is also not a paragon of progressiveness (read that as over-legislation) in the area of vehicle standards, has this to say on the subject: Adjustable coil-over suspension Aftermarket adjustable coil-over suspension components are suspension units that incorporate an external thread on the main body and corresponding threaded spring saddle that allows the vehicle's suspension height to be varied. If fitting aftermarket or coil-over suspension components you must submit an Application to modify a light motor vehicle form and a report from a light vehicle engineering signatory (LVES).
    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • Those above shitboxes, mediocre and above usually have a turbo strapped to them, hence the slightly higher octane is required.
