Sticky Situation

I've got some really sticky old glue on my clips holding my roof vanish up and need to put new glue on the clips but don't know what to use to clean the old crap off any ideas?

Try metho or prepsol prepsol is what painters use to get rid of grease etc etc before every coat

eucalyptus oil will do the job as well

Tried metho its sticky not greasy will try the oil. More help would be great

Try thinners or mineral turps....either might work....

steam gun and or heat gun...
