No Snorkel ?!

Been looking around forums at random posts and realised that my airbox has always been missing a snorkel!

can someone verify that i actually am missing it :S if so, would i needa find one ? or does it make little difference ?

yes you are missing the snorkel off that airbox...your engine is not going to blow up from not having it but, if you are running a standard airbox it is better to have it, unless your feeding in cold air from elsewhere.i think it would cause a smaal drop in power and fuel economy, but cant confir that. im sure nissan would have some reason for putting it on though

Whoever attacked your engine bay with a spray can needs to be SHOT lol

But yea, if you have a standard airbox then your feeding your induction hot air instead of cold, get a snorkel

You will essentially have the same effect as putting a unenclosed POD; sucking in hot air from the engine.

yeah fcking previous owner sprayed it wih stupid blue paint that all peeled off ==....

and i guess he took the snorkel off too for some reason...

I guess ill have to look for one!

If you want to get rid of some of the badly painted parts, ive got an airbox and snorkle, dont wanna seperate the two though

Lol, same thing happened to me one day. Looked in someone elses engine bay, looked back at mine, fk missing piece.

They're damn cheap, I bought mine for $40 plus delivery.

Turbo and non turbo airboxes are different!!!! And they certainly aren't worth $230. The parts for sale forum on here usually has heaps of useful bits and pieces, and if there aren't any snorkels on there, there will be soon.

Sucks about the engine bay paint, hope the seller knocked some of the price off to apologise!

When I was looking it seems to be the normal price. Just MAKE SURE you get the right one for your car, not sure how much/if they very over r32-34, but they do vary N/A to turbo
