  1. Thanks for the run-down, different world to when I last bought one! I have joined/applied to an embarrassing number of those groups haha
  2. Yeah I have just noticed there seems to be fewer and fewer skylines on carsales these days, sad because I'm hoping to grab another r34 gt-t in the next 6 months. Maybe these fb groups will provide some hope haha, cheers!
  3. Clutch wearing in maybe? Could be some random off-brand clutch they used to sell it...
  4. Gahhhh I miss this car so much! I actually visited Soft last week and saw the car, he's taken immaculate care of it, and spared no expense! The new owner will be very lucky... and it would be me if I had the mulah laying around haha. Good luck with the sale, talk soon mate. BUMP!
  5. If you go a magna go for the TJ2 models, 2002 onwards. They're a good improvement over the TJ model. Auto magnas have a weak point in the gearbox that will go if the car hasn't been serviced regularly/has done large amounts of towing without a trans cooler/or if you're unlucky etc... The 3.5 v6 magnas are not bad to drive, plenty of torque to pull you along, but like most cars do have their issues. Also worth considering is a similar year camry. I have a 2000 3.0L camry and a 2000 3.5L magna, the magna is more fun to drive, but the camry feels much more solid even though it has over 50k km more on the clock. Maxima and accord are also worth a look at.
  6. Any sightings or news on this? Sucks mate, sorry to see. Did you have an alarm on it?
  7. Sorry Lithium, newb tuning question, why was the NA car with 13:1 compression unlikely to get detonation before MBT?
  8. Sometimes tyres have a wear in time, it might take some time to reach optimum grip (not long though)
  9. That's pretty interesting, the engine doesn't get too hot?
  10. Bahahahaha love it! I'll have to put mine on a diet soon and see what comes out
  11. Saw an XU1 Torana on Old Windsor road the other day, sounded fantastic! xalman, you're over the soarer already?!
  12. OP, if you're looking for a fast car for that price range bmw m3's and porsche boxters can be found for 50k, I haven't driven either, but I would test drive as many options as possible before handing that much cash over. If you drive them all and buy the 34 gtr you'll be even happier with the decision
  13. Remember to do an engine flush with a fine pinot noir
  14. Saw some zonda-esque beast of a thing in the bunnings bankstown carpark, very low, very wide, very loud, and very slow over the speed humps. No idea what it was though, wish I'd had time to grab a pic
  15. Interesting result, wouldn't have guessed that! Good catch mate, you must be stoked!
  16. Put a flood light on it, might help... I'm guessing you live in the south west? lol
  17. ^Hate to say it, but that was what my r34 did when it's stock coilpacks went. How old are the splitfires?
  18. There might also be a minimum time the finance has to be paid off in, worth considering...
  19. Could the plugs be too cold? Wrong plugs can lead to a world of frustration
  20. ^Lol. I did find that german drive safely ad pretty moving though, you know the one with all the heartwrenching accidents.
  21. Lol, "i can't grab your ghost chups"

    2011 F1 Thread

I had been wondering if Barrichello would make his 20th season, he is thrashing Maldonado in the points though (4-1 lol), and he was driving almost as well as Button for Brawn. Frank Williams said, when Barrichello joined their team, that Barrichello was a world champion quality driver.
