Late reply but no runs for me for a while guys. Will be very busy the next couple months at least until life settles down for me.

Will also have to reluctantly miss Nov 9th dude. I'll be sending someone off at the airport that day.

You will just have to make the Christmas party then :)

Next sunday ... doooo eeeeet .

Not many skyline cruises on

Well man just last week a mate of mine with 5 other imports got pulled into queensland transport for a full on defecting session that went for a couple hours.

News like that spreads....and equals less and less cruises. Has definitely put me off that's for sure :(

A cruise is meant to be something one enjoys....not an event where you try to spot fat c*nts in see-me vests in the middle of the road waving their glow in the dark butt plugs around.

Yeh I know what you mean man...I'm doing likewise. I've just been focusing on work stuffs while the car sits in the shed all week and only comes out for a grocery run lol.

Life would be quite chaotic for you at the mo eh? :D

Luckily, we are not in the same position as Brissy/Gold Coast guys when we go cruising around our area. We have passed numerous cops on our little jaunts with 5 or so cars and have never had any dramas. If you hit the limiter constantly in 60 zones and hang out at with the douchers on Thursday nights you deserve to be pulled up imo.

Totes down for a Queen Mary run, bit of different scenery would be good. Could be available on the public hol

Ah well I'm not too fussed about it all anymore Clint....I'm looking at pulling out of the car scene for a while and focusing on more important matters. Start investing in something that actually gets you some returns and not just takes your money never to be seen again haha....8 years of pouring money into these pits was just cray cray (for real real, not for play play)

Maybe get back in to the scene one day with a nice cruiser of some sort? I mean all I / we do is cruise around...so maybe a nice phat V8 land yacht of some sort....maybe even something along the lines of a hotrod or a Cobra for those Sunday drives in the hinterland ;) Something nice and raw - an easily accessible engine with 4 wheels attached!

Even fancy the occasionaly 240z and 928's

^ He still has it. I see it occasionally driving along hume st LOL.

Either he's heading home or perhaps going somewhere to get a feed?

To be honest, I don't think they're money pits. I don't drink nor do I smoke, plus there's also money going into the bank so some of my disposable income has to go somewhere. Spending your money/consumption keeps the economy going.

Although I have to admit, having any disposable income may be a thing of the past and I think you've understood my current situation pretty well, Tommeh ;)

Chris, I'll make it a point to attend Xmas at yours. Your family puts up the maddest feed!

all about having a healthy savings/bills/disposable ratio mateys. I have too many other extra curricular activities and habits in addition to the car to warrant spending considerable monies on it.

yes I do make an appearance on Hume st for my daily commute, when I use it for work. Gets so boring driving the spare car. Nick, you seem to spend a bit of time on Hume st yourself?

    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
    • By "reverse flow", do you mean "return flow"? Being the IC having a return pipe back behind the bumper reo, or similar? If so... I am currently making ~250 rwkW on a Neo at ~17-18 psi. With a return flow. There's nothing to indicate that it is costing me a lot of power at this level, and I would be surprised if I could not push it harder. True, I have not measured pressure drop across it or IAT changes, but the car does not seem upset about it in any way. I won't be bothering to look into it unless it starts giving trouble or doesn't respond to boost increases when I next put it on the dyno. FWIW, it was tuned with the boost controller off, so achieving ~15-16 psi on the wastegate spring alone, and it is noticeably quicker with the boost controller on and yielding a couple of extra pounds. Hence why I think it is doing OK. So, no, I would not arbitrarily say that return flows are restrictive. Yes, they are certainly restrictive if you're aiming for higher power levels. But I also think that the happy place for a street car is <300 rwkW anyway, so I'm not going to be aiming for power levels that would require me to change the inlet pipework. My car looks very stock, even though everything is different. The turbo and inlet pipes all look stock and run in the stock locations, The airbox looks stock (apart from the inlet being opened up). The turbo looks stock, because it's in the stock location, is the stock housings and can't really be seen anyway. It makes enough power to be good to drive, but won't raise eyebrows if I ever f**k up enough for the cops to lift the bonnet.
    • There is a guy who said he can weld me piping without having to cut chassis, maybe I do that ? Or do I just go reverse flow but isn’t reverse flow very limited once again?
