Due to some little dirtbag waste of space throwing something at my car tonight, I'm now in need of one new Cibie fog light for an M35 aero front bar.

Would anyone have a spare? I'm betting its going to be just under insurance threshold...

Thanks,

Ryan

Damn Ryan, that sucks!

These are very difficult to source mate; Ive been trying for quite a while to find some. They only appear in Nissans listings as part of a complete bumper assembly ($2500)pinch.gif No individual part number. And becasuse they are a "dealer option" they are difficult to even find in FAST.

I have a link that I'll dig up for you tomorrow; maybe you'll have some luck.

Cheers, Dale.

That'd be great Dale, thanks!

Complete bumper assembly seems a bit excessive, but I am insured, and I'm that anal that I'd probably do that if I had to.

its a shame you didnt catch the guy :(

he may have suffered a 'fall' during the chase.

anyway, they DO appear on IM from time to time, i hope you find something

Thanks Iain.

Was thinking of trying to find some spot lights the same size. I don't really need fog lights in Adelaide, I'd get more use out of spotties.

Will keep an eye on IM too. Have Streeter getting me some stuff at the moment.

Ah ok. Is there a specific one you'd suggest, or you've seen? Otherwise I'll just go through the Narva and Hella catalogues. Pair of HID driving lights would be heaps better for me than a pair of fog lights.

something like this might work for you

http://www.hidlighting.com.au/HID_Driving_Light.html

http://www.modyourcar.com.au/body-styling-lights-driving--fog-lights-cat2_36_352

there was a company around a few years ago called xenall but google yeilds nothing.

youll need something about 4" size to fit in.

there are a few decent and not-expensive kits around. if i get a spare $200 i might get a set for my car and flog off my factory lights

Looks good. Might get a price on these: http://narva.com.au/products/browse/compaccompac-hid

Dad gets trade, and they'll be easier to return if they're no good.

Seems like a better option than hunting down an original fog light, and I'd say it won't be _too_ expensive.

do yourself a favour and get some of these.

http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=249

complete with quality HID kit for 170USD, plus, you can also specify your current globe type and get it will come with Plug'n'play connections.

I think they're too small though?

Went out and measured mine, they're 110mm across, and those Blazers are 65mm. Looks like they'd be easy to fit though!

What about these from the same site? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?products_id=125 Seem to be the perfect size?

I'm going to get a price on these, since I know I can get them locally: http://narva.com.au/products/detail/compac-100-hid-driving-lamp-kitbr-12-volt-35w-100mm-wide/noheaders/1/?KeepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=720&modal=true&parent=driving-fog-lamps-popup-layout

Hey Ryan I'm in the same boat mate my right spottie got smashed on my m35 aero driving past a dude mowing his lawn! Threw out a rock, What are the odds? Got a quote from just jap for $ 300 new and a quote from my local Nissan dealer $ 585! Let me know if you find something cheaper

$300 new doesn't sound that bad really.

I priced up a few different sets of spotties, all were around the $100-200 mark. I was thinking of going HID, but they're around the $1k mark! :O

There are some good ones in the links above.

I've just taken mine out so I'm going to start measuring up and see what fits. I was looking at these: http://narva.com.au/products/detail/compac-100-hid-driving-lamp-kitbr-12-volt-35w-100mm-wide/noheaders/1/?KeepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=500&width=720&modal=true&parent=driving-fog-lamps-popup-layout

I found out those, the HID versions, are $1k, but you can get the non HID version for around $100, and a HID conversion kit for $90. As long as they fit thats what I'll do, just need to measure up.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
