Dice
Ok last week a couple of my coils packed it in. After being screwed around by the wreckers I gave up and drove it down to a mechanic in Brisbane running on 4 cylinders. Anyway about half an hour down the highway this red light came on which I thought might've been the engine overheating, but the mechanic told me it was the cat overheating. Got the problem fixed, got home. And the exaust seemed to smell a bit worse than usual, and my brand new 5 inch tip has turned gold (presuming from heat). So have I gutted my cat or what? JMP 82
firstly, if your cat is gone, you should put up "LOST" signs in local shop windows and on street light poles and the such... but if you have gutted your cat, then don't bother with the signs coz he aint coming back too soon... sorry mate... whistla
I wouldnt say youv gutted your cat, but its possible youv melted the bricks/comb and its now causing restrictions Youll know when youv gutted your own cat through overfueling, haha youll blow half of it out your exhaust and leaving a molten lava state thing on the road Its happened to a mate of mine that had his coilpack die on him Best (legal) is to get it replaced even if your unsure, or even so, unbolt the cat from the flange and have a look yourself, youll be able to tell the moment u see it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/36713-i-think-my-cat-is-gone/#findComment-734313 Share on other sites
