I have searched and searched for a wiring diagram and have had no luck.

I don't particularly want to go joining wires until i find the right ones just in-case i cause a short and blow something.

On the auto there is 4 plugs, one with a 4-pin connector which goes into the side of the shifter on the drivers side of the box,

and on the passenger side of the box are 2 x 2-pin connectors and 1 single pin connector.

Which plugs and corresponding wire colours wires do what?

The auto box has overdrive so I'm guessing some of the wires are for this.

I need to bypass the inhibitor switch to get the car to start again as i have almost completed my manual conversion and also need to hook up the reverse lights.

Please HELP :/

I did ask this question in my other thread but am yet to get a response and i've been stuck for almost 2 weeks.:(

Thanks Dennis,

I'm at work at the moment, i will give you a call when i can get back under the car either tomorrow or Monday if that is OK with you.

Will be great to hear the beast running again now that I've just preformed a service on it and added a pod filter, some extractors, 2 and a 1/4 inch exhaust system and a 6 inch cannon.

Regards

Shane.

Ok call me on 0406142529 and we can try sorting you out.

Cheers, Dennis

I have to go out, but when I return I'll post some pics of service pages so you can try to work it out.

Wiring colour codes are:

B = Black

W = White

R = Red

G = Green

L = Blue

Y = Yellow

LG = Light Green

BR = Brown

OR = Orange

P = Pink

PU = Purple

GY = Gray

SB = Sky Blue

In case of colour coding using a stripe, Base colour is first followed by stripe colour

eg. L/W = Blue with White stripe

Cheers, D

Hi Shane,

Attached is 6 pics.

Pict 0011 is the Ignition System

Pict 0010 is the Charging System

Pict 0009 is the Starting System

Pict 0008 is the Power Supply Routing

The second Pict 0009 is the Overdive Control System

The second Pict 0008 is the Kickdown Switch System

All these are for the Australian car.

From what I read in the manual, the 4 pin plug is from the Overdrive control switch, the 2 pin plugs are Kickdown solenoid & Overdrive cancel solenoid. The single appears to be the Overdrive indicator switch as well, possibly indicator light.

The Inhibitor switch also has 4 wires but I don't know where they go as I don't have any automatic vehicles to look at for you.

If these picture diagrams don't help, your more than welcome to come down and look at the manuals, as I'm just at Campbelltown.

Cheers, D

Thanks mate, those circuit diagrams were exactly what i needed.

All sorted now, it turns out that the 4 pin connector is all i needed to use,

just join the black/white wire to the green/yellow wire to bypass the inhibitor

and the yellow wire and the red wire to the manual gearbox reverse switch wires.

Regards

Shane.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
