Hi everyone, just joined the forum after a long time browsing this website.

The project that I've been working on consists of a BMW e30 (88 year make) 325i with a rb25det motor and box conversion.

So far the build has been a challenging one, as I live not in Sydney but a tiny county town with not many people experienced in this level of modification.

Which means I've had to spend the majority of my spare time browsing the web for solutions.

Anyway enough general chit chat, I shall present the problem

For rego purposes I need to put in an rpm gauge as the stock BMW one doesn't work,

It's a standard aftermarket taco so getting power and ground took about 1 hour all up,

What I'd like to know is where in the engine can I find a spot to hook up the rpm signal wire???

I tried hooking it up to the computer, but because it's running a microtech lt10-s computer, I couldn't find any info regarding the propper wire to connect it to

Is there any locations within the engine bay that could be the solution to my problem, ( IE coil pack, or distributor cap)

Any infomation would be greatly appreciated
