Hi,

I had a read through the post Cleaning Idle Control Valve . I am not clear when it says in step 9 " On the bottom of the AAC assembly there is a screw, this can be removed for cleaning and is generally the dirtiest part as this is the idle control screw. At all times when idling the tiny gap that the screw when in allows air to pass through keeps the car at its steady idle. It's no wonder there is so much buildup." and in step 10 "Also clean the idle valve screw (you'll see its hollow down its centre)"

There is an O ring covering that area. When I remove the O ring and there is a little hole. Should the hole be hollow?

Thank You

I believe so mate i just cleaned mine (car now idles :D ) but you just unscrew the screw all the way out and spray the cleaner in there. simple as that. i think you are worrying about to much lol. oh and while you are getting your hands dirty you might as well clean the afm. before i did my afm and ICV the car would hunt for an idle. now she idles perfectly. it is half hours work but makes things so much smoother. it also solved my stalling when slowing down issue. If any one needs any help send us a pm ! oh and most importantly make sure you reset the ecu or it wont really do much

I think ( dont quote me in this ) there was one that was on there top of the screw I reckon that sealed the screw in. Once again I cant forgot remember if your idle is fine with it were ever it is I would leave it. I mean 20 c dodgy fix that works or finding another iac... Dodgy fix ftw :-D
