Hi guys,

So I spent 25 minutes on hold with Toshiba Australia until I could finally get a representative (who's name was Glen) to provide me with a detailed run down of the specs for this laptop and the difference to the Satellite P750/02T PSAY3A-02T001. The model number of the laptop I am selling is:

P750/08 PSAY3A-080001. Note that this model does not come up on www.mytoshiba.com.au when you do a product search, hence the main reason I was on call with Toshiba Australia for so long! Works out that this model (P750/08 PSAY3A-080001) was sold exclusive to Harvey Norman retailers and yes I did get it on the 2 for 1 deal promotion, but it was one of most expensive of the laptops on sale. I have had the laptop for a littler over 2 days.

I am pretty sure you computer whizzes are going to be hopping on google trying to find the cheapest deal for P750/02T PSAY3A-02T001, but before we go there, let me tell you difference between these two models:

So the difference are, as per what the rep told me are as follows:

a). 8 GB of DDR3 RAM

b). Hybrid Solid State/ SATA 500 GB Hard drive (Momentus® XT 3Gb/s 500GB Hard Drive - Devide Model ID: ST95005620AS) here's a link for more info on this - http://www.seagate.c...tSpecifications

c). 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M (it also has on board shared Intel graphics support, so yes, 2 display adapters for some reason)

d). DVD RW/Blu Ray Player - Yes, on board Blu Ray player!

The rest of the specs are pretty much the same from the Toshiba website, here's the link:

http://www.mytoshiba...cations#details

For you lazy people out there here are the specifics for this model:

Looking for $1100. I suggest anyone interested can go have a look at the price of this specific model down at Harvey Norman (it's listed as P750/080 for $1599!) and then realize how much of a savings you are making. No low-ballers please as even the basic P750/02T PSAY3A-02T001 goes for around $800 - $900 online and I have already listed the major differences above (Blu Ray player, 8 GB RAM, etc).

And oh, its still in the box :). You would be able to also register the product on mytoshiba.com.au and I have already done this with my one and the model ID does come up when registering online for warranty/support.

PM me for those interested. First to pay will get it.

Prefer local pick up, however can post at buyer's expense.

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
