ok, my Recaro Sports seat is still on the market. Been sitting under plastic in the garage for months now waiting for an offer.

I was going to get a new car to fit it into but that's not going to happen now with four children.

New selling price - $1200.

Not bad for a seat that was about $2000 new (and still is "as new") to get installed my my ex-R33 GTS-T.

Pix are on my original post but if you can't find them let me know.

Seat has to go! Once you have sat in this seat you will definately not look back.

PM me for reasonable offers.

Hi,

Any idea on how much 'lower' you are in the seat when compared to the normal GTS-t seat ?

Does it come with rails ?

From recollection your bum sits at the same height but the front of the seat below your legs was tilted higher due to the base frame size and bolt on location.

The seat has electric adjustable height which pivots from the front of the seat.

Rails are built into the base frame below the motorised hight adjustable mechanism.

The seat interface for the GTS-T was done by Roman Autotek in Rhodes, Sydney.

Will require power connection under the base of the seat.

Very snug seat when you slide into it. Never tried it on a track but I can imagine how secure you would feel in a tight fast corner. Also good for four point harness with the holes in the back. This seat was the last of the Recaro Sports that had the harness holes in the back. Apparently can't get them any more.

Guys, read the rules!!

Talej - a post of yorus was edited, yet you still come in and post crap in a thread where your not interested in purchasing the item.

Daz - Im sure just_grouse doesnt really care if you would buy it, becuase as you say , you dont have the money...

Breber - same, dont post if your not interested.

In case you guys have trouble seeing, there is an Announcement at the top of every classifieds forums saying "NEW RULES FOR POSTING!! ALL FORUM MEMBERS PLEASE READ"..

If i can pay it over over time i'd be interested. i can afford them, just not the 1200 in one go. if it were say 200 - 300 a fortnight it would be doable.

If this isnt out of the question let me know... i can do a downpayment and stuff if u want.

Sorry for the delay on responding. Not sure why the auto emails from the forum are not notifying me any more.

The sensible thing to do is apply for a 2 year interest free loan through GE Finance or the like. That way the money is there up front for any purchase and the monthly payments are low.

I'd be a fruit case to let anyone pay me over a period of time as there are no assurances you would keep up the payments whereas finance companies have their butts covered big time.

    • With the system, once you drive it for a bit, and before you turn the car off, does the car fix its date and time? When you say the date is wrong, what date does the vehicle think it is, and does it always show the same date? My thoughts from a process driven view is; The system may be defaulting to a standard start date/time. The main reason you'd typically see this occuring, is the system is losing its constant/backup power supply.   If its always defaulting to the same date/time at start up, and especially if it fixes itself while driving, I'd say either the non volatile memory has an issue, or the power supply to the volatile memory that stores this information.   The other thing I'd check is if there is anywhere in the system you can adjust the date and time from. If the date/time is still moving forward since it wished you happy new year, then it is 100% possible the system has just had a bit of data corruption occur, and you likely need to find a way to reset the date/time in the vehicle.
    • Scissor Jacks are an accident waiting to happen, the only time they should be used are in an roadside flat, even then a tyre and rim should be placed underneath
    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
