Easternats This Weekend

Who is going to Easternats this weekend?

I have gone the last few years and there have been more and more imports each year so it is not so much v8 bogan territory anymore.

I might be going down for a look on Sunday.

The drags down the front straight at Sandown and burnouts at the end of the day are preety good.

oh is that what Ben is racing his car at? Coz I remember one of the fangers sayin he din wanna dyno his car coz he was saving it for Sandown this weekend.

shan u r one very confussed man!

u dont actually race around the track for lap times, its show and shine, dyno comp, drags and burnouts. And knowing ben he wouldnt really give a toss about drags or burnouts.

    • Did you take the MX5 for a Blat around the Track at all?
    • LOL, "they said it might be slippery"..... 30 seconds in your off, 60 seconds in white twin backs into the corner That new track looks good, and the Datsun was chopping cars quite nicely
    • I'll get one of these also just for giggles
    • I bought 6 new spark plugs to compare readings. They will be here tomorrow and ill see if meter is far off if it all. I know one is at least reading 0 so its best replace all anyway if one is bad, from experience. I still have to test the harness just to be sure its not a double issue and I waste my time haha-the old plugs are iridium I always thought those lasted more than 50,000 km.
    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
