THe other day while driving back from the city with aircon on the car started to overheat..my first impression was that there was air in the coolant system (thanks to person that did my timing belt and didn't pu enought coolant back).

Did the piece of bottle in the radiator cap and bubbles were on the rise, now, the thermo fan didn't start at all ,is that ok?

I have been thru this for a while. AFAIK you must have the heater on full temp when trying to bleed the system with a Coke bottle.

Finally i raised the level of the bleed valve by 50mm and all is now good.

thermo fan is for aircon only AFAIK. the viscious hub fan does the rest

So ,If it's not working ,That could be why my temperature raised while using the aircon? summer is coming and missus doesn't go anywhere without fresh air...any way to try it???

If you have a consult cable you can run an active test on the thermo fan to see if it is operational.

Apart from that it is only activated when the A/C is on and the coolant temp reaches a set temperature, I don't know what this temp is sorry.

Have you checked the fan is still plugged in?
