ryu1605
Hey guys did a search on this but couldn't find anything. Basically my dad has an r32 gts and has been told that both front upper ball joints have play and won't pass roadworthy. It's the part where the front wheel hubs are connected to the suspension upright, the bit that the front hubs pivot on for steering above the bit where the tie rod ends connect to. My question is I'm wondering if it's possible to just tighten the bolt going through the middle of it to fix the play but I've been told that that would only work if the bolts were already loose. Is this correct? I've got another set of front hubs/uprights that I can swap in for him but trying to work out if I can fix it without doing that. Any advice would be awesome. Cheers, Drew Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/383367-r32-front-suspension-upper-ball-joint/ Share on other sites
T04GTR
yes. sometimes they come loose. but it could be the upper arms being flogged out.with the wheel on, give it a wiggle and see if it moves in the arm.
