Great Xmas and start to New Year

Boxing Day driving home from Tauranga to Taupo at 10pm had about 20kg of dog race out from side of road

and despite me braking and going to edge of road to avoid it, dog smacked into front drivers corner of my 300GT

End result:

Bumper replacement approx $1600

Grill replacement approx $350

Headlight replacement $1400

Minor panel damage prob about $200

Labour................god only knows

Now find that the Airbag light flashing after accident means new airbag........................$2500

Dog died at scene

Thank god for my car insurance

Nuwan @ import revolution in Melbourne has about 10 V35 sedans wrecking, his prices are good compared to new/nisswreck and his postage is cheap!!

$450 for front bumper

$290 for front gaurd

$175 for grill

Hope this helps you out a bit. Just as long as your okay. If you swerved and had an accident you would have been done for neg driving..... Car is fixable, life isnt as easy.

From what i understand Airblag flashing doesn't mean you need a new airbag. (I have a solid Airbag light which i'm sure is far worse).

Google ways to stop the airbag light flashing, its fairly straight forward. Just turning car on / off a certain number of times.

Yeh my m8t had that issue in his 33 GTST there was some sensor on the door he played with a few times to fix it, maybe there is something similar or even an ECU reset might help unplug ur battery for 30min to an hour to reset it im not sure of another way to reset it.

Its the Insurance company that decided to replace the airbag

When the panel beaters took the car to the Nissan agents to check the flashing light, they were told that the airbag

had developed a fault and needed to be replaced

I guess it must have been the accident as it was one helluva thump. I was just surprised the thing didnt go off

Unfortunately the airbag has to come from Japan and costs $2500 worst part is that it takes about 2 weeks

As has been said in an earlier post, " Car is fixable, life isnt as easy."

Just glad we werent injured, there was a big ditch on the side of the road which would have rolled us had I gone any further off road

to avoid the dog, I saw the ditch coming and couldnt do any more to avoid the dog

Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
