yea not much JDM there, quite dissapointing really!! nothing but blown V8's and commodores, which is good, i know but lets see some 400-500hp RB's or JZ's give the usual aussie shit a good run, i know your out there somewhere... even whoopass is dominated by v8's :( *end rant*

went and had a look today. wasnt really expecting to see any jap cars. have never seen so many blowers in one place before :worship: 60 N/A in the final and 60 blown in the final i think was a fantastic turnout

plenty of laughs at the cars unable to spin the wheels due to the grip of the pad and having to drive straight back out. sounded like plenty of expensive repairs will be required. a few cars went from 7000 to 0 in a millisecond.

loved the yellow lx torana even though i didnt see it do a skid.

Plenty of Jap Crap at the Sprint Series kicking ass. We're not so much into doing burnouts etc.

Collie is a decent track though, Gazzanats beats the hell out of Motorvation that's for sure. Would have been nice to see some other drifters out there, although Mitch and Luke must have had a blast! :P

The quality of cars there was amazing. The quality of humans not so much, but I think they are inversely proportionate as it's always the case. I was down there yesterday, watched one of the Commy's go up in flames on the burnout pad, rookie error not clamping brake lines :P

All in all it was a good day, would have liked to stay for the second. Unfortunately I think it is a bit far to enter in for just the two days, but I'll be going to watch again next year for sure thumbsup.gif

were mitch and luke in the grey 32?

from what i saw everyone was very well behaved.

Mitch was in the Silver 32 with black gaurds and kit, Luke was in the White s14 with RB

I went down with a couple of mates, Fg and Bf F6 utes, was an awsome weekend, its not about drift or little skids its about high powered cars doing dirty big skids.....

As Royce said, Mitch has the weapon of a 32, and Luke's got the S14. Both really good drivers.

Haha well import skids are shit house anyway, there's no competition. When I go to shows like Powercruise or Gazzanats or MV, I don't want to watch imports do skids. They are shit. When an import rolls out onto the burnout pad, I boo with the rest of the mullets. And I love imports.

    • Well, this is probably where a wiring diagram and a multimeter come into play.
    • I can say to anyone thats doing this; having done a number of R clusters; just be careful if its an unknown cluster.  It takes a bit of force to pull up; but if it feels excessive then its probably stuck. I've had this and pulled the entire hair spring out; and I can tell you; its not easy getting the correct spring replacement with the correct inner diameter and winding. In my case someone had used some sort of adhesive to stick it to the spindle and it pulled the whole spindle out; which the force seperated the hairspring from the spindal and caused it to deform.  You may have to clean it (IPA); or in my case if i'd known i should have used some sort of solvent on it.  Also check out Cruizin Central on eBay. He does all sorts of dials; and you can email him with any custom designs you want. So if you want like certain logos etc...he'll send you a mock of what it will look like then you accept the order and he'll take care of the rest. Fantastic dials and he can do basically any design you want.
    • Have you confirmed its the actual axles? Also the wheel bearings that mount on the hubs to hold the axles wear out. I replaced mine as they got play in them. It sorted my play issue.
    • Ive converted a few clusters for the R33 with 320km/h dials. On the back there are some pads which can be bridged or unbridged (using solder or wick braid) to calibrate it. There is one bridge which is for MPH <> KPH; and there are combinations of bridges to offset it. There is probably a diagram  For example; this is my conversion for a 180km/h dial to a 320km/h dial (I put custom GT-R dials on it with the GTS25t layout) If you have J2 soldered (assuming the S clusters have a similar config to the R clusters); you may need to remove that solder
    • Back on topic 😉, these are some of the notable pages from the booklets that are supplied with each weekly parts update. I never knew the BNR32 test mule car had an S13 Silvia front end... *Edit: On closer inspection the test car still had the R32 body, but only the front end had Silvia panels etc.
