With a change in circumstances i'm looking at selling/swapping my clean Low Km S15.

Headlights have been recently fully restored and look mint, brand new blue vision bulbs all round.

Car is in fantastic condition, located Southern Suburbs SA.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've talked to the Mrs about the Stagea but she's not keen mate sorry.

The GTR sounds awesome but i'd say it's pretty full on for a daily for me, sorry. I tried to modify the post to specify a couple of car + cash figures, but can't see how.

Would be looking at a clean GTIR or S14 + around $8k, Diesel Crewcab ute + around $8k, Or something like a Mazda 6 luxury sport + cash. Mrs is even keen on a 2000+ Subaru, Accord Euro, V35 4-door etc.

Thanks for looking guys.

I'd just drill it out and tap ina 1/4" thread. No need for rocket surgery when the next most obvious thing will do. You could throw a 1/4 x 1/8 bush in there and use the same fitting you intended to use.
    • Is the only issue that the oil catch can is getting filled on hard runs? I'd be thinking more about oil control issues rather then the head lifting, especially as you aren't seeing spiking in the coolant pressure.  Do you need restrictors in the head, or better drains from the head? Does the sump need venting to the catch can?
    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
    • Looks great, I hope everything is working well after all that time!
