I forgot about 3 mainly cause of the big turd that it is

EDIT. Bout the only good bit of that movie was the stuck up blonde getting injured at the start

Oh and trying to drift a FWD Lancer on the docks with expert commentary from the old fisherman

The dirty blond was pretty funny,

I thought they just droped the front shaft out of a ralliart lancer?

pretty epensive if its at home? is it 415 or 240?

Either way, I'd say they would have to run a seperate line to the transformer for 3 phase.

Sounds sucky :/ might give that a miss by the sounds of it...

do you already have 3 phase in your switchboard??

do you have rewireable fuses or circuit breakers in your switch board?

if you picture digging a trench from your switchboard to your garage, is it a easy path?

why do you NEED three phase?

these questions answer yours :)

a mate of mine done a uni project on converting single phase to 3 phase power last year.

Uni projects are generally based on something that has already been done so there might be an off the shelf unit that does it

ah yes, keep forgetting your a sparky

I still need to dig that trench anyway as there is NO power there yet... So that's not an issue!!

The hoist I want can be single phase if it needs as they are cheap enough...

if there were no rules and you dug the trench i could do it in a couple hours for ya hah. but im not a tradesman etc etc etc

Well hurry up and get your trade :P

How many wires from the pole to the house?

Is the tyre machine cheap enough as in a couple of hundred or is it more than that?

Also be very careful what type of arm it has as some can move when taking off or fitting tyres and can scratch rims

Also a good idea to have one or two 15 amp outlets in a garage as well for welders or compressers if needed

EDIT just my 2c worth

ahh but you overlook the etc etc etc haha.

i get my trade in december then ill look into getting everything i need to do it for you!

At the rate I work it'll probably take that long to dig the trench

Yeah hopefully I can keep chipping away at debts and then be able to afford to wire up the shed and ONE day get a hoist so it makes it easier to work on our cars :D

    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?

    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
    • But if you had to go bury a body in the forest, would you not put that in the boot? Most of them are >=90kg these days.
    • That could easily make a horrible noise. +1 to the benefits of: a) Disclosing all relevant information when asking questions such as these, b) Actually going out and having a look at your own car, seeing as you're the one there, and we're not!
