I still think the Federalies look OK for the money...... BUT you dont do many KM's so the Nitto may be ok too, but you dont want to leave them sitting for too long in storage and go all hard and waste the money.......

My KU36 are crap now due to sitting for 2 years!

Well done mate! You got the one you wanted i assume? (Didnt you have 2 lined up?)

Make sure their security is top notch! (I am sure you are all over that already!) :)

Ant you've had your car for a year and haven't don't 10k on them, get the good ones man. You only drive it for fun.

My Feds are great when there hot but before that there not bad but not heaps good either

ha cheers for the import guys..

i just looked again and pretty much decided to go with the nittos haha... im hopeless.

the nt05 isnt a full track tyre.. the nt05R is the proper semi slick, with the r type compound etc..

the tread wear differences of the two tyres are 200 nt05 and 240 for the federals..

so the nittos would just be a really grippy street tyre, and would still get 10k kms on them i think.. not like the proper semis where i would burn up the rubber on the steet within 2k kms..

so im kinda thinking i should just buy the gripper tyre for more fun on the street?... where the federals will probably just be the same as the falkens i have.. maybe even a little worse?...

i am running NItto invos and they are awesome i ran them down wakie in march and they were really good

on another note,

i just drove a gtr, was big and yellow and im f**kin getting one next year!!

cant beleive the difference!! uts f**kin epic!!! keep a look out for a 33 gtr boys. low kms, many mods, 20k

will be buying feb/march next year when i got a steady job

Just got back from trying to put my car in storage, massive fail.

The one I had on hold, was taken down as the wrong one (needed on right next to a power point for trickle charging etc) so went in there and now it's gone, and none available next to power etc... Not happy!

Why's it going in storage

Need it lowered, got a bad driveway and live in a unit with a pretty small double garage with 3 cars... Ha

Just want it in storage unit I buy a house etc.. And I'm sick of waiting to lower it, hopefuly they sort it quickly and get me in there.

Might call them up on Monday and tell them to get the person that got the one I thought I had my name down for, to shift to another one!

yeah i'm only joking lol.

See if you can get a nice series 3 r33 or even a LM. I've alway liked them :-). But on series note, take your time to find decent one.

I really like the magazine side of it with all the little tidbits and facts. Also, if anything, these forums are all about spending unreasonable amounts of money on hobbys. I wouldn't call it a self-help group because people generally suggest to spend more
    • I put another 2 layers of putty and still getting pinholes. Think i might either try the filler first then putty or just leave the little specs of guidecoat as is and get primer to fill it in. I think i misread understood what you said above when you said my glazing putty wasnt enough for the size of the area. I thought you meant 1 coat and i needed to. But i think what you meant was that I needed filler first? I also went a bit too far out the repair area as my spreader is a bit large.
    • You do sorta. In my instance they were little specs and I didn't even think they'd be pin holes but it all makes sense now. Huge learnings there!
    • Ah ok that makes sense and it's where i think i went wrong because before when i put filler then putty, i didn't have this issue and now i do because i only put 1 coat of putty. Thanks for that heaps man, it's a good way to put it! With my putty I'm using the dolphin glaze which i just saw it says finishing putty lol. I didnt put filler cause it was a shallow area but i see what you're saying. Also I'm an idiot, i just realised that while i put new putty there are pinholes! I probably saw it before and ignored it for whatever reason. I think because i thought putty is used to fill pin holes that itself wont make pinholes but that's incorrect of course. I feel silly now haha. ok I think I know what to do next. Thanks man!
    • Yes correct, the guide coat is showing low spots, in this instance the low spots are pin holes. I agree wetting the areas makes it more visible (but you can see it's there before you wet it as well lol).  Once the panel is flat, the guide coat will be gone
