Cam Angle Sensor Problem

Guys,

Have the rockers and front covers of the cam gears at the moment for a paint. Managed to sought a new coat and was reinstalling the CAS yesterday and snapped 2 of the bolts.

I bought new collars and rubber seal and was wondering if the rubber seal goes behind the cover plate or behind the cas and placed on top of the plate?

In Regards to torque setting the manual says 18-21 Nm but have sourced new bolts and tried them again but it just feels like its Gunna give way and snap again!!!

Any help would be great thanks!

The rubber is grooved and fits into the cut out of the timing cover both sides.

Just checked, for rb25 cas bolts are 3.9-4.9nm and rb26 are 16-21nm... Thats a massive difference... Is that right?

Wow that's a massive difference between 25 and 26! surely something incorrect there!

Will try the rubber seal slotting into cover plate now! Lol!
