this wont answer your question but it is on topic...

I have chosen with my past few cars to make my own

using off-the-shelf 4wd rubber wheel arch extensions that are meant to be mounted horizontally, i just hang them under the bumpers instead. flexable and forgiving.

this is how it mounts on 4 wheel drives

for rubber, in SA we have Clarke Rubber who sell it off the roll by the metre. $20 per metre i think, so $40 to do the front (plus whatever you need to fix it to the car - one screw or bolt plus a large mudguard washer every 150mm or closer)

im sure any 4WD accessory shop sells it for about double the price

I've got the series 2 lip and can confirm they are different from the Coupe. I sourced mine from Yahoo auctions in Japan many years ago. They are also available from US and also japanparts.com but be prepared to pay through your nose upwards of $600 landed. If you can find a 2nd hand one from Japan it would be much cheaper.

Cool.. Thanks guys.. Think I'll stick with deep dish's $40 Clarke rubber.. Lol much cheaper and at my ride height probly more affordable to replace later when needed also...

this stuff is heavy duty. you'd sooner tear the whole bumper off before damaging the rubber.

it flexes back under the car easily, but if you get it caught when reversing you'll feel it. those concrete blocks in carparks are a pain. just remember to always reverse park if your mufflers are high enough

my front lip has dragged on various things and not even scratched. a quick squirt of silicone spray makes it shine (and possibly reduces wind friction by 0.00000000000000000000001%) baahahaha

oh and you could mount it so that it points slightly outwards, rather than directly down like mine.

and before anyone says it, yes i know this lip is not to everybodys taste. its just an option.

Just curious..ur username says 350GT8..is that the car you are referring to coz I don't think GT8s came in series 2...

yeah.. ive got a 350gt8.. im not really sure what series it is.. tried searching online.. and all i could come up with was its a 1.5 model.. lol.. its one between the cross over of series 1 and 2...

ive got series 1 interior, headlights, grille, series 2 tail lights and front and rear bars and bootlid (without doggy handle). ive had the car for almost 2 years and up til now still dont know.. previous owner said same as what i found and read online.. " its a 1.5" i dont really know..

if anyone can shed some light on this would be good... sorry way off topic though..

Anyone know if the 2007-2008 G35 Sedan OEM Factory Front Lip would fit a 2004 V35 300GT?

the biggest giveaway in that pic is the headlights. Boomerang shape is V36 equivalent

im not 100% on this, but ...

2001-2005 v35 in japan = 2003-2006 g35 in US

I know for sure mine is 2001 JDM series one so i look for 2003 USDM parts to get series one, or i look for 2005 USDM parts to get series 2

if the headlights are different shape, you can be certain the parts wont fit.

edit- isnt there a topic that explains the year model jap-usa conversion in detail?

      I get you, we’ll see I’m aiming for 200ish kw now and hopefully 300rwkw down the line after some upgrades maybe like headstuds, E85 flex fuel etc  so trying to make it final for that now, I can get a GTT airbox for $280 so it’s not too bad but not sure if there’s better ways to spend that money. I seen online they say pod filter which isn’t enclosed isn’t good especially for a plus T.      hard to say what to do

      Meh. How much power can you make from a +T anyway? I wouldn't have though it would be enough to challenge the airbox. It's not as if it's tiny compared with the turbo one. As to putting a pod in a stock airbox .... it's not the filter element that would be restrictive. It would be the air inlet to the box that would be the narrow point, which you could open up regardless of what element was inside. On my R32 I opened up the sort of triangular opening in the bottom front corner of the box, deformed (heated, moulded) some 4" stormwater pipe to fit to that opening and punched a 4" hole down through the inner guard to the spot where the stock intercooler used to be. This was purely in the search for a cold intake, but you could do something similar if you need to open up the inlet side of it. The AFM tube size is the same for both NA and turbo, so the outlet from the airbox is same same anyway. If you're going to do the right thing, then an aftermarket ECU won't care about the AFM (ie, you can get rid of it). But even if it was still there, people pull >300rwkW through them all day, and I suspect you won't be going there.

      Doing a +T on my car and I’ve read the precious forums lots of mixed reviews from sometime back.  checking if anyone has any ideas for airbox or enclosed pod filter or solutions?  I was thinking stock GTT box but some say it’s restrictive? I seen some people try fit in a pod in the box anyone done that recently?  not any good enclosed options ? Thanks
