Hey all, since there's been a lot talk and interested in Motordyne products, particularly the Shockwave TDX2 Cat-Back Exhaust System. I've seeked a quote for the Shockwave TDX2 Cat-Back Exhaust System including shipping and so on, based on a 10 unit purchase.

Also there are a number of other Motordyne products that you may be interested in, such as ART Pipes, XYZ Pipe and Sway Bars. So express your interest via private message in which product you want by next Thursday (18th October 2012), so I'm able to provide the group buy facilitator the exact numbers to get a quote for.

Now the way the shipping will probably happen is that each buyer will provide the shipping address and the shipping quote will be individual to each buyer and the items will be shipped directly to the buyer (unless you can team up with someone in your own city), this will save cost on double handling. Note, that most of the savings will be on the units itself and there may be savings on the shipping too.

As always with group buys, the more buyers there is, the lesser the cost will be to each person on the units. So if you are intending to get these down the track, I suggest you get onboard and if you don't have the funds then borrow some money, as this will probably save you a fair bit down the track.

Looking to close the group buy and make payements by Thursday on the 1st November 2012, as there will be lead time on some of the products and shipping time. Also, we would want to get in before December comes, as they will be delays with holidays and the amount of shipping that occurs with the Christmas period.

@81gSKY would you know a rough estimate on how much we can each save in a group buy of 10 or a group buy of 20? Did Tony or a rep from Motordyne go through a ballpark figure with you?

Was looking to buy the tdx2 and the ART pipe early next year but if i can save abit then i might jump in and do the group buy.

Sorry, I haven't gotten a quote yet, that's why I need the quantity on each item and the shipping addresses by next thursday and I will the quote accordingly.

But just take this as a reference point from when I got a solo quote from Tony (Motordyne) a while ago, "$1,635 USD for the unit, $565.23 USD for shipping through FedEx International Economy (arrival 5 business days) and additional for taxes".

    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...

    • It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about. Reliability of everything in a 34 drops MASSIVELY above the 300kw mark. Keeping everything going great at beyond that value will cost ten times the $. Clutches become shit, gearboxes (and engines/bottom ends) become consumable, traction becomes crap. The good news is looking legalish/actually being legal is slighly under the 300kw mark. I would make the assumption you want to ditch the stock plenum too and want to go a front facing unit of some description due to the cross flow. Do the bends on a return flow hurt? Not really. A couple of bends do make a difference but not nearly as much in a forced induction situation. Add 1psi of boost to overcome it. Nobody has ever gone and done a track session monitoring IAT then done a different session on a different intercooler and monitored IAT to see the difference here. All of the benefits here are likely in the "My engine is a forged consumable that I drive once a year because it needs a rebuild every year which takes 9 months of the year to complete" territory. It would be well worth deciding where you want to go and what you care about with this car.
