hey guys,

ive got a r33 s2 as a daily car, and my clutch is on its way out. ive found a second hand exedy heavy duty ceramic clutch for cheap, apparently it has %80 left, so near new from what i was told. or i could buy a new normal exedy heavy duty, both around the same price. i dont know much when it comes to clutches, so how can i make sure that there is actually %80 left (where do i look?). also which one do you guys reckon is better for me? my car atm makes 194rwkw cuz apparently this makes a difference?

+1 buy new. Given the cost to install I don't think a second hand clutch is ever really worth it. And if you cant verify if it is truely 80% left, assume it isn't.

Have you driven an ceramic clutch before? Happy to have that in a daily?

kinda, there are full faced ceramics or puk ceramics

For a daily with some thrashing, just get a decent organic plate with a decent pressure plate.

NPC make great clutches for the price, give them a call!

Their 10" kits are gold, the pedal is near stock, that when I installed it, I thought I broke something because it was so light

Instead of using the carbotic plate most of us guys use, go for the organic. Should be better/easier to drive.

Ceramic and carbotic plates are not that fun to drive as a daily (yes I am soft lol)
