I'm up for a few games of pool - I used to be quite good, and had a habbit of cleaning up the table, sinking several balls in a row (which BTW earned me the nickname: Demon Dave )

but in retrospect it was probably more luck than anything else. :)

I haven't played in years though...never even seen a table in Japan!

They better have the mix nuts.
Yeah, they better! What kind of pool hall runs out of mixed nuts??? Jeez...

Btw, we went to a pool hall in Nishinomiya somewhere, and parked at a "24 Times" parking lot, where we happened upon this:

Z10 Nissan Cube, completely standard apart from those stickers... :headspin:

Yeah Kei-cars or tallboy wagons seem to like a mild dose of sticker-tune. My neighbour's black 98 turbo Move used to have a HKS sticker on the back window and other various sticker-tune...but I don't say much because he gives me free window wiper blades, coolant, etc from work (aftermarket/OEM parts supplier to makers). He's also a nice guy who is still saving to buy a nice car, being young and married ain't easy.

Also Justin will attempt again this Friday to prove his ghey shots will win over my powershots...I will have some photo evidence where possible

Yeah.. ok. But this time I'll have a team of Japanese girlies cheering me on ;)

Justin how you getting there tomorrow? If your not riding with me, meet at the pool place just after 9pm.

Hankyu Nishinomiya stn, North Exit, keep walking North along the street. You should see the 7-11 on the corner if you remember, and MOS burger is to your left on that coner over a block. Keep walking North another 10 metres and the pool place is to your Right, up the stairs.

Troy for some reason, when I read those directions they sounded just like all the other directions I've ever been given in Japan...

leave this station, go along this street, turn right when you get to a seven eleven...

just re-affirms that once you've been to one Japanese city, you've been to 'em all. :( In actual fact I can picture a place here in Yamanashi that has a similar layout - MOS buger, 7-11 and a (swimming) pool :)

    • Yes they do. For some maybe. But for those used the most by abusers, ie Skylines, the numbers are known. The stock eyebrow height for R32/3 Skylines is about 365/375mm or thereabouts. The minimum such heights are recorded in adjacent columns in the database.
    • Hmmm, interesting. Makes me wonder whether there is bias as well. It's the cheapest fuel, so it is used for all kinds of ill-maintained shitboxes which are bound to have issues regardless. Nicer cars tend to require higher octane rated fuel and can't use it anyway. FWIW, the official NSW E10 facts page is decent.
    • Out of curiosity, how do officials determine what the OEM ride height and suspension specs are? Do they have a book of truth? I'd think that would be quite obscure knowledge for random JDM cars.
    • This is the check list they sign off on. This implies that adjustable coilovers of the type we're referring to are not a "Variable Ride Height" system. This very much is in the ethos of "I can change the height while moving/while parked without pulling wheels off the car and mechanically doing so"
    • Just an update  ... Put the cat back on no issues with the car running wise ... maybe alittle longer to spoil up the turbo. Still running rich but waiting for my tuner to come back into town to retify the situation. WOT runs fine with the cat.
