Who cares man... Function over form.

If you don't like the bottle cap and screw, find something more suitable to plug the holes.

Look at all the trouble you have gone to and looking to go further, just so you can have a metal intake pipe which is not giving you ANY benefit what so ever.

Well, i was afraid to tune with this as i thought it would leak air. I suppose i could find something a bit better to cap it, but honestly i can't stand the stock inlet lol.

I wouldnt bother plumbing back unless your going back to stock bov in stock position dude.

the aftermarket bovs will require more force to open them and the turbo will still create reversion when the throttle snaps shut, before the bov has a chance to do its thing.

If you are truly limited to the Nistune then your best idea would be to move the AFM to the cold side cooler pipe. Do this before the tune and your tuner should easily be able to rescale the AFM so that it works properly. The problem will be solved and you can keep the HKS BOV and the better intake pipe :) make sure your AFM is in good condition and doesnt leak.

I wouldnt go back to the stock intake pipe as you will probably end up with a bigger turbo regardless and the AFM will need to be moved anyway. So may as well move the AFM now.

Yes i am limited to NIStune as i already have the board and ECU ready to go !

IS there a post or link that you can share or elaborate on relocating the MAF? Seems like i would have to do it while at the shop right before i get on the dyno or else my car wont work properly.

move AFM post intercooler, pre throttle...

move BOV to pre intercooler, hot pipe

rescale AFM in software, adjust INJ table to suit.

Cost you about $200 in fabrication work or so + 2x silicon reducers...

No need for photos

Figured that part. So pretty much Id need to drive to the shop with the car normally and then do these modification before i get on the dyno? Seems like too much work. I may just have to put the janky ass stock inlet pipe back on :\. I wish there was way to fix this reversion by putting something after the AFM but before TURBO.

Thank you ALL for the help. I truly appreciate it.

Realistically you wont need to do the work at the shop.

You can do it all at home and then limp the car to the tuner. Moving the AFM will make it run like shit but will still run.

No issue.

I would simply move the pipe to the drivers side inner guard, just after the cooler, and would leave everything else as it is.

I will look into this.

    • Just to be clear, there were no lights or codes when the hiccups were occurring. Also nothing noticeable in the cars' braking. It brakes fine and the dash is clear. I only made the connection when it did throw a code and suddenly, despite the lights, it felt great again.
    • Yeah they are sliders and this was in my head before I worked out it was the speed sensor.
    • Ok so we have a smoking gun.  A few weeks ago I had to replace a speed sensor that I'd fit incorrectly. I replaced the sensor and everything was fine with no lights or codes thrown any longer.  When I was doing some more bedding in yesterday I got ABS and traction control lights again and, considering when this happens those things are disabled, the pedal went back to normal with smooth braking and no hiccups.  The codes thrown are for the same speed sensor that I replaced. When I looked at the sensor I took out it looks like the tip of the sensor is damaged. So whatever happened to it, perhaps it has damaged the magnetic ring on the bearing (that I only replaced the other week). I'll get my boroscope in the hole where the sensor goes and see if there is any damage in there. Hopefully just the tip of the sensor is in there and the bearing is fine. 🤞🏻  It's worth noting also that the pedal hiccup happens more often and for longer periods now and totally goes away when the codes are thrown again which happens usually after 5 or so minutes of driving. Love all your help here as usual guys, thanks!
