Hey all,

I'm wondering if anyone out there has managed to repair the common rip in the drivers seat and if so, how?

I've seen the odd photo where someone has re-stitched it back up themselves, however the rip in my seat has gotten a bit too big to re-stitch..

Any ideas / suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D

Cheers

Adam

A motor trimmer (upholsterer) can not only stitch up a seat but good ones can even put 'body' back into the cushion rubber. It can end up looking imperceptible from the original subject to amount of wear.

Occasionally the seat might require a patch.

Perhaps a trimmer might keep photographic records of "befores" and "afters".

Some can repair leather on steering wheels too.
