docile
I thought in the 21st century we'de atleast be able to steer ships properlyI dont know about you, but when moving at like 10 knots in a ship over 100m long. Ide feel pretty stupid if i crashed. Have you had any REAL LIFE experience steering big boats (say 60-70ft) or actual ships?? Its totally different to turning a car or avoiding a truck etc. Try turning a 100m long ship carrying hundreds of heavy sea containers through rough weather, 20m waves and 40knt winds. Sometimes crashes cant be avoided... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/42054-ship-sinks/page/2/#findComment-862409 Share on other sites

usuckpoo
These Tankers take like 5 kms to come to a full halt from cruise speed Not that easy to steer imho...and not to mention the supertanker is not 100m long..its almost 500m.
