Hey guys. I wanna dump my R32 on its nuts. I have the options of a few springs, and out of the following which would be the lowest...

  • Kings Super Low
  • TIEN
  • Whiteline

Can anyone recommend any springs if the above arent much good? I had H&Rs in my old ride, nice spring, not very low but. I am going to change the shocks sometime before xmas as well. (car is still on a boat).

Thanks guys

Hey guys. I wanna dump my R32 on its nuts.

Shoot, why not save yourself some money and just leave the springs out all together. Sit it on the bump stops, it will be low then. Won't go round corners or accelerated due to lack of traction, loose about 8 rwkw through excessive driveshaft angles, won't stop, chassis will crack around the suspension mounts, can't listen to tunes 'cause the CD will skip all the time and there is plenty of proof that says "low is slow" etc.

But hey, it'll look good.

Seriously, take a look here, there are plenty of tips on what to do with skyline suspension including recommended heights;

We run our 335mm - 345mm, DMS std is 330, Tein is 320... What he said!

So apart form the stupidity of the first post. What experience has everyone had regarding their springs? Im looking at the Tien S-Tech springs.

..if your car doesn't turn up with adjustable coil overs. The springs will be about 7kg front and 5kg rear - (Normal Jap AM) So just wind it down to suit. Because of the ratio 1mm on the shock is about 1.5 on the car

Have a read of this thread, it is full of peoples experiences with different brands of springs and shocks

As TT said it is pretty rare to see an R32 come in with standard suspesnion on it, it may pay to wait until you know what you have got before you buy anything. Research is good though.

can't recommend any springs sorry, i think kings super lows are pretty low but don't know if you can get the tyres sitting up in the guards. here are some pics though of a mates 32 on its sack. has height adj coilovers... Rb20_4valve on these forums.

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
